The Trane COM13335 is a Scroll Compressor, robust machine to delivers substantial cooling in structures and uses R-410A refrigerant. This is not a piston type of compressor like most conventional ones, rather it is a scroll type of compressor as used by Trane. In the sealed housing, two interacting scrolls engage to compress the refrigerant gas and produce high pressure. This design equates to 6.8 tons (82,000 BTUH) that addresses challenging cooling loads. Refrigerant circulation is made secure through brazed stub tubes.
