Trane COM13118 Compressor 200-230V 1-Phase 3.1Ton

The Trane COM13118 Scroll Compressor is currently discontinued but was a robust compressor designed for home and small business cooling. This used R-22 refrigerant that has increasing environmental concerns. A long-lasting, sealed structure (hermetic) of cast iron with stub tubes brazed for steady refrigerant flow. This Trane type of piston compressor was different from the normal ones in the sense that it employed a scroll for proper working. Two intertwined spirals located in the tightly enclosed housing act as a compressor, pumping refrigerant gas. This design gave a 3.1-ton capacity (about 37,000 BTUH) which is enough for moderate cooling loads in houses or small buildings.
