Trane COM11786 Compressor

The Trane COM11786 is an essential part of Trane air conditioners/heat pumps and is a scroll compressor specifically. Unlike the piston type which uses a piston for compression, the scroll type uses two helical spiral scrolls to compress the refrigerant vapor. This design is less noisy, more efficient than piston compressors and has a smoother operation compared to them. This is a displacement type of Trane compressor, this means that it physically shrinks the volume of the gas to create high pressure. The COM11786 is built to last with a stainless steel chassis and runs on POE (polyester) oil, compatible with R410A refrigerant.
