The Trane COM11188 is a powerful workhorse scroll compressor which provides powerful cooling performance in Trane HVAC systems using R-22 refrigerant. At 25,000 BTU, this single phase compressor is sized for larger residential or light commercial applications. Built to endure, the 20 x 20 x 15" measuring cast iron is durable. Compared to reciprocating compressors featuring pistons, scroll compressors convert refrigerant using a scroll mechanism that occurs smoothly and efficiently. In other words, it means quieter operation and possibly lower energy consumption. COM11188 operates at 1750 RPM within a temperature range of 113°F to 131°F. Refrigerant connection is facilitated by brazed copper stub tubes with suction and discharge sizes of 3/4" and 1/2" respectively.
