The Trane COL16266 Coil Assembly W/Drain Pan is an essential component of diverse Trane systems, especially the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. This assembly contains the coils through which the refrigerant flows where warm air is absorbed from the system. The refrigerant moves through the coils and circulates around the air taking heat with it. This heat transfer cools the air flowing over the coils relieving the overall temperature in the conditioned enclosure. The incorporated drain pan is used to catch water that forms through this cooling process to avoid water damage.
