Bard HVAC CMH-20 Low Ambient Control

The Bard HVAC CMH-20 Low Ambient Control is a field-installable kit for controlling fan speed in compatible Bard HVAC systems during cold-temperature operation. This functionality is especially useful for heat pumps, which collect heat from outdoor air even at low temperatures. Head pressure is one of the main indicators of system performance that the CMH-20 monitors.This protects the evaporator coil from overcooling, which can lower efficiency and harm the coil in colder areas. All installation-related parts, such as mounting hardware, a relay assembly, and a pressure switch, are included in the kit.
