The Resideo BP900 Backflow Preventer with Atmospheric Vent is a sturdy mechanism used to prevent backflow and back siphonage in a plumbing system where fresh water is to remain pure. This backflow preventer is made from durable brass that can work under high pressure of up to 150 PSI and temperature of up to 212 degrees F and therefore suitable for residential as well as commercial HVAC systems. It has an atmospheric vent where the trapped air can be expelled out but cannot allow water to contaminate it because water flow is only in one direction. This device is suitable for use where water may be such as irrigation systems, water tanks or high pressure piping systems.
