Carrier BAAS100380 Thermister Element

The Carrier BAAS100380 is a Thermister Element specifically for air conditioning systems. The thermistor is about 5.3" long, 3.3" wide, and 2.1" high. The carrier has been made with a special material whose resistance changes with temperature and the carrier constantly monitors the temperature inside your Carrier unit. At higher temperatures the resistance of the thermistor decreases. The control board of the air conditioner receives this information. The thermistor element senses temperature fluctuations and protect your system from overheating. If necessary, it also triggers the control board to adjust cooling output or shut down the system completely.
