The Amana-Goodman 0130M00074 High Pressure Switch is a protective controller that monitors refrigerant pressure on the high side of the cooling circuit and interrupts compressor operation when pressure rises beyond the set limit in HVAC systems. The switch responds to pressure changes through its sensing mechanism, opening or closing the electrical circuit according to system conditions. It is connected to the evaporative control line and compressor circuit within the outdoor unit.
