The ASCO 8220G408 is a 3/4 inch normally closed solenoid valve designed to precisely control fluid flow in HVAC systems. It acts like a switch, except instead of managing the flow of electricity, it regulates the flow of fluids such as steam and hot water. When the valve is not activated, it remains closed, stopping flow. When activated, it opens, enabling fluid to flow through.  The 8220G408 is designed primarily for heavy-duty applications, withstanding steam pressures of up to 50 psi and hot water pressures of up to 150 psi.
