Cozy Heaters 74309 Limit Switch

The Cozy Heaters 74309 is a Limit Switch a safety device designed for a Cozy line of gas-fired furnaces. This is a safety that will prevent the furnace from overheating and damaging itself. The 74309 is a normally closed switch, that makes the circuit when it is at rest. It is usually installed along the path of the furnace and it is set to open at a given temperature. If the temperature of the furnace exceeds the limit switch range of 20°F to 200°F, the switch will open thus cutting off the burner and further temperature rise.
