Cozy Heaters 72160 L220-40F Limit Switch is a small safety device designed to be used in Cozy gas-fired furnaces. This switch is essentialin protecting your furnace from getting too hot which can lead to damage or fire. This is a normally closed switch, as it makes a circuit in its normal state. It is often mounted on the airflow stream in a furnace and designed to open at a particular temperature. The switch has a range of temperature that is set at 180°F to 220°F. If the temperature of the furnace goes above this set point, the switch turns on and prevents the further ignition of the burner and prevents further increase in temperature.
