The Nordyne 664048R Restrictor Orifice is a refrigerant metering device that regulates the flow of refrigerant in cooling unit. Refrigerant flows through an opening of 0.048 calibrated orifice which forms a fixed restriction that measures the quantity of refrigerant entering the evaporator section utilized in HVAC systems. The orifice insert is placed into the distributor or liquid line assembly of the refrigerant circuit and create an exact flow of refrigerant. It is located in the refrigerant pathway close to the evaporator inlet and ensure regulated distribution of refrigerant in the system.
