Nordyne 626279R Limit Switch L140°F-40°F

The Nordyne 626279R Limit Switch is a safety part which is used in many heating systems, mainly furnaces. It is used to guard the furnace against going high, which results in immense harm to the furnace as well as secure functioning. The “L140F-40F” described the temperature range of the switch. The second part “L140F” means high limit, in other words the switch will turn on open circuit at 140F. This activation reduces supply of power to the heating elements or burners so enhancing the heating process is inhibited.
