The Daikin-McQuay 6025174 Four-Way Valve Coil Assembly is an electromagnetic control part that is used to activate the reversing valve in heat pump and air-conditioning systems. When the coil becomes energized, it create a magnetic field that move the internal valve mechanism which redirects the flow of refrigerant applied in HVAC systems. The coil is placed over the stem of the four-way reversing valve, and attached to the system control wiring by electrical leads. It is mounted on the reverse valve body on the refrigerant circuit and is the source of the electrical actuation needed to switch modes when operating the system.
