Trane VAL8613 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) R-22 5 Ton 5/8"

The Trane VAL8613 is a Thermal Expansion Valve and is used in older commercial, R-22 refrigerant-based heating and cooling systems. This valve with a length of 6.3” is for boosting system performance and preventing compressor damage in 5-ton systems. Constructed from brass, is an automatic device that controls the flow of R-22 refrigerant. It has a thermal actuator which is used in sensing temperature variation in the evaporator coil. It features exact control of refrigerant flow that enters the coil to achieve the maximum cooling potential. This comprises of female sweat connections, and male sweat connectors on the inlet (5/8”) for a solid.
