The Rheem-Ruud 51-104304-10 is a high-efficiency ½ HP Variable Speed Electronically Commutated Motor or ECM which is capable of saving much energy in the HVAC system. (PSC) motors, ECM motor applies the use of permanent magnets and other electronics to fine-tune the machine’s speed to meet the heating and cooling requirements of e resident. This variable speed operation leads to improved comfort, not so noisy, and in the long-run lower energy costs. The motor can be used in connection with HVAC equipment such as furnaces, air handler, fan coil units and condensing units. It can be either 120V or 240V based on the electrical circuitry of the system and the enclosure is open drip-proof to guard against dust and dripping liquids.
