Lennox 49K42 Thermostatic Expansion Valve

The Lennox 49K42 is a thermostatic expansion valve TXV is used in the HVAC systems. This causes variation in refrigerant flow about temperature and cools most efficiently. The TXV controls the quantity of the refrigerant that flows to the evaporator coil depending on the temperature. This prevents the coil from over-freezing and thus maintains its efficiency. The TXV controls the flow rate of the refrigerant that gets into the evaporator depending on the temperature. The above prevents the coil from over refrigeration hence making it efficient. The TXV regulates the quantity of refrigerant which can flood the evaporator coil depending on the temperature.
