Trane HTR15183 Crankcase Heater 32W/575W/40W 460V

The Trane HTR15183 is a belly band crankcase heater that is made to fit Trane HVAC systems only. It is a band-shaped heater, 7inches long and wide, 6.5 inches in diameter and only 1 inch in height allowing it to circle the crankcase of the compressor like a belt. Crankcase heaters are useful in avoiding refrigerant movement and oil thinning throughout off-cycles of the system. This produces either 32 watts at 460 volts or 40 watts at 575 volts to adequately warm the crankcase oil so that refrigerant does not begin to condense and mix with the oil. This in turn helps to keep the performance of the system and the life of the compressor as long as possible
