Trane BAYCCHT011B Crankcase Heater 460-575 VOLTS

The Trane BAYCCHT011B is a band crankcase heater to help prevent Trane HVAC compressor oil viscosity problems. Oil lubrication is necessary for compressor units to continue to run smoothly without much wear and tear. In both cases, oil viscosity is not affected but oil in the system may be more difficult to circulate during cold starts. This heater wraps the compressor’s crankcase and runs at 460-575 volts. Actuation of the heater components actuates and generates heat, maintaining the optimal oil temperature for lubrication during a startup.
