The Bradford White 415-47776-10 Magnesium Anode Rod is used for installation in HVAC systems. It corrodes not the steel tank of the water heater but serves as a sacrificial component to increase the equipment’s durability. This 38.63” long, 2.50” diameter rod with a 3/4” NPT connection draws the corrosive elements in the water, no rust or leakage. It should therefore be replaced periodically for better performance of the HVAC system water heater, preventing the need for costly full tank change and getting a hot water supply.
