Trane VAL8598 Thermal Expansion Valve 4 Ton

The Trane VAL8598 is a 4 ton thermal expansion valve (TXV) for use in HVAC systems using R-410A refrigerant. Control of refrigerant flow in air conditioning systems is dependent on TXVs. The TXV controls the amount of refrigerant entering the coil evaporator coil. The TXV limits refrigerant flow to prevent over cooling and ensure efficient system operation when the coil temperature drops. The evaporator temperature sensor is a 24" capillary tube that has a sturdy stainless steel construction for long lasting performance. This valve has 5/16" inlet and 1/2" output sweat connections, ideal for 4 ton HVAC systems.
