Carrier P282-0431A Contactor 3-Pole 40Amps 24V Coil

The Carrier P282-0431A is a 3-pole Contactor made to be used with Carrier HVAC equipment, air conditioners, heat pumps, or packaged units. A power relay is designed and used to handle and regulate high currents in different circuits of the system. When current flows through it, its low voltage coil of 24 VAC energizes a switch mechanism . This 3-pole contactor controls three different circuits at the same time. This enables high current to flow through each set of contacts and power several crucial HVAC components including a compressor, blower motor and possibly a reversing valve.
