The Lennox 38113 Coil Contactor is an electronic switch that is used on HVAC systems for the purpose of safely switching high voltage currents. It Usess a low voltage signal to switch on an electromagnet which in turn switches on or off other circuits through the contacts. Specifically, this contactor is a 3-pole double-throw (3-PDT) design to handle three individual circuits, each having two positions. Approved for voltage of 208/230V and with coil voltage of 24V, this model can take up to 40A. They enhance safety because they keep control circuits away from high voltage.
