Trane VAL7240 Thermal Expansion Valve 3/8"Xchat 4 Ton 30" Capillary

The Trane VAL7240 is a 3/8” sweat connection thermal expansion valve (TXV) for use in 4-ton systems employing R-22 refrigerant. They feel the temperature in the evaporator coil and control the amount of refrigerant to be supplied. This model features a stainless steel housing unit with its construction, which provides the necessary level of protection against corrosion. It has an inlet of 5/16”, an outlet of 3/8”, and a capillary tube length of 30”. The capillary tube measures the temperature in the evaporator and communicates this data to the valve to regulate the flow. This TXV comes with a 15% bleed, balanced flow design and is capable of handling up to 700 PSI.
