Trane VAL3841 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) 3/8 X 7/8"

The Trane VAL3841 is a thermal expansion valve orifice TXV designed to serve applications within the larger HVAC systems (generally 4-ton units) that use R-22 refrigerant. This 6” long valve is essentialfor cooling and for protecting the system. Its main purpose is to act as an expansion valve that controls the amount of refrigerant getting to the evaporator coil about its temperature. The thermostatic actuator ensures that the valve opens and closes mechanically. Too little refrigerant in the coil impacts cooling performance while too much in the coil is capable of damaging the compressor. The Trane employs female-brazed connections to ensure that your HVAC systems do not leak and or are not incompetent.
