The Trane VAL2376 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is an essential part of your Trane air conditioning system, an adaptive valve which fine tunes the cooling capacity for large residential or light commercial buildings. While simple on/off valves, the TXV is an essential component in cooling and protecting the system. Through the employment of a thermal sensor bulb with a capillary tube (the length of which is not defined for VAL2376), the TXV regulates the quantity of refrigerant which flows into the evaporator coil depending on the temperature. The valve itself has sweat connections for easy installation, and is constructed of stainless steel for use with R-22 refrigerant.
