Sporlan Controls 108628 Thermostatic Expansion Valve is an essential part of HVAC systems that supports optimum refrigerant flow control in air conditioning refrigeration systems. Designed for R404A refrigerant compatibility this valve is suitable for medium tonnage units from 2-1/4 ton to 3 ton, which is suitable for commercial and residential HVAC applications. The valve has a 3/8” x 1/2” ODF solder connection and comes with a 30” capillary tube so that you can easily install it. The TXV functions in a way that it controls the amount of refrigerant that flows to the evaporator coil in order to achieve the right amount of superheat. It makes for heat exchange and avoids coil frothing and loss of compressor heads for refrigeration systems.
