Trane VAL19487 Thermal Expansion Valve 3/8X1/2" 40" Capillary ODF R410A

The Trane VAL19487 is a thermal expansion valve for use in HVAC systems working with R-410A refrigerant. This valve will put in the better cooling performance for the outlet temperature of the refrigerant that exits the evaporator. The TXV operates based on the temperature of the refrigerant leaving the evaporator. The valve opens more as the temperature rises allowing more refrigerant to flow, absorbing more of the surrounding air's heat. However, the valve restricts flow so the evaporator doesn’t overcook and freeze when the temperature drops. This Trane TXV has a 40" capillary tube, a 1/2" output, and a 3/8" inlet. It depends on any length capillary tube and it can detect temperature changes in the evaporator.
