Trane VAL8712 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) R-22 1-Ton 3/8 x 1/2" 55/51 PSI

The Trane VAL8712 Thermostatic Expansion Valve which measures approximately 4.5” in length R–R-series valves is used to regulate refrigerant flow in R–22 refrigerant-based HVAC systems, commonly used in older model air conditioning units. The TXV is sensitive to temperature differences within the evaporator coil building up by employing a thermal actuator. It regulates the refrigerant compound that gets into the coil as a fourth function and cannot be underfilled or overfilled. An underfilled coil will yield less cooling, but an overfilled coil can damage the compressor unit or system. This Trane has female brazed connectors equipped to give a leakproof connection and has 1-ton system compatibility.
