Trane VAL7513 Thermal Expansion Valve 3/8 X 1/2 2.5Ton 48" R-22

The Trane VAL7513 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is an essentialcomponent in your Trane air conditioning system, smart valve that adjusts refrigerant flow dependent on temperature, perfect for medium-sized cooling applications. Compared to simple on/off types, the TXV is involved in the cooling process and is quite important. In the TXV, a thermal sensor bulb, which is connected through a long, narrow capillary tube (48 inches for the VAL7513), allows the TXV to regulate the refrigerant that flows into the evaporator coil depending on the temperature. This helps to also make sure that the coil is getting the heat it needs without icing up and causing problems or damaging your system. Able to hold pressures up to 500 PSI but only for R-22 refrigerant and is made of stainless steel.
