The Carrier 340620-704 Thermal Expansion Valve Kit is a must have for HVAC systems that use a wide variety of refrigerants. A device that measures refrigerant flow across your system with precision, improving heating performance. It measures 3.6" long, 6.5" wide, and 4.4" tall. The Carrier unit’s evaporator coil will send temperature changes to the TXV in the package. As cool refrigerant absorbs heat from your living space, the TXV senses the decreasing temperature. It causes a mechanism to start that recycles to change the opening of the valve to the exact amount of refrigerant needed to enter the evaporator.
