The Trane GKT1532 is an essentialpart of the Trane HVAC systems and is manufactured with the specific purpose of providing a leak-tight seal in areas that are sensitive. This little but gasket is 0.75” in diameter and made of Teflon, it can be used for discharge line and Rotolock purposes. Teflon or PTFE is heat, chemical and corrosion resistant, ideal for the hostile conditions found within an HVAC system. This eliminates refrigerant leaks because the discharge line fits perfectly on the Rotolock connector. These leaks are capable of affecting the performance and efficiency of the system and in the worst case scenario, they can harm the HVAC system.
