The Carrier 331709-789 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) Kit is the essential component of the air conditioning and heating systems which uses R410A refrigerant and suitable for the system having the cooling capacity of 3-3.5 ton. This kit contains all the parts required for replacement or installation of thermal expansion valve for efficiency in the system. This temperature change is detected by the TXV and the flow of refrigerant is adjusted so that the evaporator is always filled with refrigerant to absorb heat but at the same time no liquid refrigerant is allowed to enter the compressor which may damage it.
