Trane CPT2327 Start Capacitor 140/160 MFD 330V

The Trane CPT2327 is a single phase start capacitor is used to give a temporary improves of current to single phase electric motors used in HVAC systems. These motors uses in air conditioners, heat pumps and fans and need higher current to start off and get spinning. The CPT2327 capacitor accumulates electrical energy and supplies it to the motor during the starting period causing a phase shift in the motor current. Phase shift it produces rotating magnetic field, and as a result, start a rotation of the motor. Some of the advantages of using this capacitor include increased motor starting torque, lower initial current taken from the electrical supply, and more efficient motor running.
