The Lennox 52M74 SPST Rollout Switch 320°F Manual Reset is an anti-heat device that is installed in different HVAC products such as furnaces and air handlers. It acts as a limit control with the configuration of (SPST) and a reset button. Normally in the off position, the switch closes the circuit when the temperature rises above the set threshold, usually 320°F, thus the name. This cuts-off supply to the heating element as a way of protecting the equipment from damage due to temperatures.
