The Fiorentini 31154-5BP Balanced Valve is a pressure regulator component used to control the flow of the gas and keep the downstream pressure steady in HVAC systems. It operates the pressure and adjusts the position of the internal valve as fuel passes through the 1-1/2" NPT connection with pressure balanced by the 1/2" vent while the furnace and boiler operate on the gas supply lines. It is installed in the gas piping system, whereby the inlet and outlet are orientated toward the supply line. Diaphragm movement to counteract pressure assists in maintaining the stability of gas delivery.
