Trane CNT3776 Ignition Module 24V 3TFI

The Trane CNT3776 is a 24-volt ignition module specifically for natural gas or gas (LP gas) fired HVAC equipment. The module operates by supplying a small current of 0.2 Amps at either 50 or 60 Hertz depending on the electrical grid in your area. This current is used to power a heated surface igniter, which glows red hot for 30 seconds during the pre-purge period. It is this pre-purge that allows gas that didn’t burn to be purged out of the system before ignition. The Trane will run over a wide temperature range and when the pre-purge is completed, it ignites the gas and begins the combustion process in your boiler or furnace. After pre-purge, a hot surface igniter ignites the gas, beginning the combustion process in your boiler or furnace.
