The Bard HVAC 8604-047BX Heat Strip is an electric heating component, used to operate by heating with electrical energy by use of resistance heating coils rated at 15 kW and a 240-volt power supply and a 6-line terminal configuration, which enables the heater to provide controlled electric heat to the system when used in wall-mounted heat pump and air-handling HVAC systems. The heat strip is installed inside the heating compartment of the unit, where the terminals connect to the electrical circuit and the element, integrates with the airflow system. The heating assists in keeping the indoor temperature constant.
