The Trane COM11974 is a robust compressor, or more accurately, a roto-compressor, used for commercial and industrial clients participating in HVAC projects. This design provides better performance, lower noise level, and possibly higher efficiency than conventional piston compressors. This particular Trane model is hermetic in that the motor and the compressor are located in the same enclosed compartment. The COM11974 is designed for large building heating or cooling systems with a heating or cooling capacity of 19,000 BTU per hour.
