The Carrier HD46GK230 is a 1 HP, 3 phase PSC motor that is used in HVAC Systems. PSC in this context is an acronym for Permanent Split Capacitor which is actually a type of motor. While single phase motors have a starting capacitor, PSC motors run with the capacitor all the time resulting in a smoother running motor and better starting torque. This motor works with a voltage of 208 – 230 V AC at a frequency of 60 Hz and consumes current of about 3 A.
