The Supco SHM180 Limit Switch with Adapter Flange Plate is a temperature-responsive switching component that interrupts an electrical circuit when equipment temperature rises to the specified limit. As temperature increases, its sensing mechanism actuates the internal contacts, opening the circuit at the 180F cut-out point in HVAC systems. The switch is connected to the equipment through the adapter flange plate at the designated temperature-monitoring point. Its manual-reset contact arrangement keeps the circuit open after a high-temperature trip unless the switch is individually reset, restoring electrical continuity when the monitored condition has returned to an acceptable range.
