The Sporlan Controls 168879 is an 8-ton thermal expansion valve (TXV) developed for use in commercial air conditioning systems with R410A refrigerant. It is essential for preserving the best possible system efficiency and performance because it regulates the refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil accurately. A pressure sensor built inside the TXV keeps an eye on the pressure inside the evaporator coil all the time. The temperature differential between the refrigerant exiting the evaporator and its saturation temperature at the current pressure is known as the superheat, and it is maintained by the pre-set valve.
