Sporlan Controls 168778 10-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is designed for use with R22 refrigerant and has connection sizes of 5/8” x 1-1/8” ODF. This valve is properly used in all HVAC systems especially in air conditioning and refrigeration services since it helps to properly control refrigerant flow for better performance. The TXV regulates the amount of refrigerant that gets to the evaporator coil depending on changes in temperature and pressure hence improving system efficiency and avoiding problems such as flooding or starvation of the evaporator. The capacity of the unit is 10-ton which is ideal for medium to large systems and can operate at different loads.
