The Rheem-Ruud 60-24180-81 is a single-stage natural gas valve that is used when managing the flow of the gas to your HVAC system. It has high-rate and direct spark ignition, which guarantees its performance to be reliable and efficient. It regulates the flow of gas to the burner in your furnace or air handler depending on how much you need. The high-speed and direct spark ignition systems provide several attempts at ignition to deliver a reliable ignition source. It is designed for systems which have the cooling capacity of 140,000 BTU. For that reason, standard connections of 1/2” can be conveniently replaced.
