The Lennox 12L41 Expansion Valve is one of those necessary condenser replacement elements of heat pumps and air conditioners. This expansion valve reduces the pressure of the refrigerant when it enters it. This pressure drop makes the refrigerant take heat from your living space and turn from a high pressure liquid into a low pressure vapor. This chilled vapor then passes through your air conditioner’s evaporator coil and cools down even more air that is blown over it. The cooled air is then circulated all over the house to give you that fresh and cool feeling.
