The Carrier HD44AR332 is an Electronically Commutated Motor, used in HVAC systems. Unlike the conventional motors with permanent magnets, it has ½ horsepower and uses variable speed and permanent magnets are regulated by internal circuits. This makes it possible to operate at low noise levels, with high efficiency and better control of airflow than with standard motors. It is used in furnaces and air handlers and can be powered by 120V or 240V.
