The Trane VAL9034 is a natural gas control valve designed primarily for use in home HVAC systems. This is a valve that adds some control over the natural gas or Liquefied Petroleum Gas flow to the heating element in your furnace or boiler. Unusually for a conventional on/off valve the VAL9034 has only two stages of operation. The 24-volt electrical coil turns the valve on and gas flows in stages to meet heating needs. The two-stage operation consumes less energy than the single-stage operation and reduces temperature swings. When required, the valve is fast opening for fast gas flow.
