The Rheem-Ruud 42-24196-83 Pressure Switch Vent is a component in HVAC systems that was designed for safe operation. In other words, it has an SPST switch which can only be activated at a pressure setting of 1.11” water column thereby monitoring the vent pressure with precision and sensitivity. Its construction makes it resistant to typical HVAC conditions. This switch acts as a fail-safe device that detects any presence or absence of pressure within its venting system.
