The RBI Boiler 11-0420 Adjustable Pressure Switch is a safety device that is used in a wide range of HVAC applications but is particularly essentialin commercial and industrial boilers. Pressure changes make the switch activate pre-set functions to ensure safe and efficient boiler functioning. It has an internal diaphragm which acts as a pressure sensitive component of the switch. When the pressure goes beyond the upper limit you set it to, an electrical circuit is disconnected by the switch. This in turn can turn off the boiler or sound an alarm thus avoiding possible damage by high pressure. On the other hand, if the pressure goes below the normal lower limit, the switch opens the circuit and may lead to other functions such as bringing a boiler back on or sounding low pressure alarm.
